Phishing & scam checklist — how to never get fooled
4 min read·May 20, 2026

Scammers target every marketplace. The good news: 99% of attempts follow the same tired script. If you can spot the script, you'll never get hit. Read this once, save it, and move on.

Red flags that always mean scam

  • 'Pay outside GG-MARKETPLACE' — even a 10% discount. Off-platform means no escrow, no protection, full stop.
  • 'Send me a screenshot of your 2FA code' — no support agent or seller will ever ask for this.
  • 'Click this link to verify your account' — always type gg-marketplace.com manually.
  • 'I'm an admin, DM me on Discord' — admins never DM first. Use the in-app Support page.
  • 'Your account is locked, pay $X to unlock' — locked accounts are unlocked through Support, never payment.
  • Sellers refusing escrow and asking for crypto on the side.
  • Buyers asking you to deliver before paying.
  • Anyone messaging you on Telegram/Discord pretending to be GG staff.
  • Generic emails from look-alike domains (gg-rnarketplace.com, gg-markétplace.com).
  • Pressure to act fast — real support never rushes you.
If in doubt, open Support
Every page has a Support link in the footer. Real support tickets are tracked in your account — DMs are not. If a 'support agent' is messaging you anywhere else, it's not us.

What we will never do

  • Ask for your password.
  • Ask for your 2FA recovery codes.
  • Ask you to send crypto to 'verify your wallet'.
  • Reset 2FA over chat or email without KYC.
  • Promise free balance, giveaways, or 'beta tester rewards'.
